NIPUN Bharat Mission or National Initiative for Proficiency in Reading with Understanding and Numeracy is launched by the Education Ministry of India under National Education Policy 2020.This scheme ensures that every child in India gains foundational numeracy and literacy by the end of Grade 3.NIPUN Lakshya is a program that is part of the National Initiative for Proficiency in Reading with Understanding and Numeracy (NIPUN Bharat).
The outcomes of NIPUN Lakshya includes: improved foundational skills of children to reduce dropouts, increase the number of students clearing the primary, upper primary and secondary stages. It envisions an enhanced education quality due to conducive and activity-based teaching.
The initiatives such as provision of inclusive classroom environment by incorporating play, discovery, and activity-based pedagogies, linking it to the daily life situations of the children and formal inclusion of children’s home languages have been taken by PM SHRI KV No.1 Cuttack under Nipun Lakshya.
